Sound Anchor Adjustable Speaker Stands are hand crafted in the USA. They are made of  large section rectangular and square steel tubing. Their all welded one piece construction makes them rigid and stable. They are spiked at the floor to  anchor your monitors in space. Special sorbathane pads are provided for use between the speaker and stand. Sound Anchors Adjustable Monitor Stands are pre-filled using our proprietary methods and materials to eliminate resonance and add mass.  These features give Sound Anchors professional performance. The standard platform that is supplied with the stand will safely support speakers up to 100 pounds however they may deflect slightly with speakers that weigh more than 45 pounds. If you intend to use speakers that weigh more than 45 pounds we encourage you to consider ordering the optional  R Platforms with your stands
